Define your approach to selecting the management team personnel. At Quality, every employee is an important member of the company and considered essential to its success. Thus, even entry-level positions are selected with great care as is the management team personnel. A successful candidate for a management position with Quality must possess qualifying experience, impeccable references, adhere to the highest standards of conduct in all business activities and whose professional vision supports the goals and vision of the company and its customers. Additionally, Quality seeks out candidates whose management approach has produced excellent, measurable results. What unique management practices or systems are used?Decision-making: Unique in that each individual is a decision maker. Our managers encourage their people to exercise more control over their work lives. Consequently, if an employee seeks a decision from his manager the employee is encouraged to share his own thoughts and/or offer a decision on the matter being contemplated. Additionally, the manager may steer the employee into making a decision, based on the questions he asks about the matter at hand. Only by agonizing over the decision can our employees grow in the decision-making process. Leadership: A leader is a visionary that energizes others by creating a vision of the future and inspiring people to make the vision a reality. Thus, Quality seeks managers who can lead by creating and articulating what the company can achieve in the long run. We want managers who go out of their way to boost the moral and status of their personnel for they understand it is the best way to performance improvement. Our experience is that the best managers are never satisfied with the status quo. Consequently, we challenge our managers to lead by abandoning old paradigms and creating new ones. This requires them and our company to venture into new and uncharted solutions benefiting both our customers and our company. Additionally, our managers must be available and visible to their staff and our customers, maintain the highest standards of honesty and integrity and treat everyone with respect and dignity. What is your long-term plan for ownership of the buildings?Historically, the facilities that Quality owns and operates have programs and budgets established to illustrate long-term ownership. Structured programs like Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) incorporate preventive, predictive tests and inspections and proactive maintenance that prolong the life of all equipment to operate at peak performance through its life cycle. In Quality’s mission critical facilities we have electrical and mechanical staff on duty, 24/7/365 days a year, both monitoring and performing maintenance function. At all times the building’s envelope and interior is maintained in a like new condition. Grounds are consistently well maintained and attractive. Quality is committed to long-term ownership of its facilities. Therefore, in addition to employing individuals who are qualified, enthusiastic and motivated for positions in our facilities we seek those who are also committed to long-term employment with our company and the facilities it serves. |
